ASCS Frontier Back At Belgrade And And Big Sky Speedway

BELGRADE, Mont. (July 29, 2024) Kicking off the month of August with a Montana double, the ASCS Frontier Region will return to Gallatin Speedway on Friday, August 2, and Big Sky Speedway on Saturday, August 3.

The tour's third visit to Gallatin Speedway in 2024, Oregon's Tyler Thompson has been undefeated so far at the three-eighths-mile oval. The same can be said for Big Sky Speedway, which saw Thompson in Victory Lane in the tour's only visit so far in June.

On top in four out of the five features contested so far this season, Thompson leads the ASCS Frontier Region by 95 markers over Kelly Miller, who picked up a pair of wins over the weekend with the ASCS Northern Plains Region in Wyoming. Phil Dietz holds third, with Trever Kirkland and Joe Perry making up the top five.

The only driver so far this season to deny Thompson a win is Rich Bailey, who won in the tour's last outing at Electric City Speedway.

Friday, August 2, at Gallatin Speedway, opens at 5:30 p.m. with racing at 7:00 p.m. (MDT). Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, and free for kids 12 and under. The event is sponsored by 406 Electric is pays $2,000 to win, $400 to start.

Gallatin Speedway is located at 2290 Tubb Rd. in Belgrade, Mont. Information on the track is on their Facebook page, or by calling (406) 388-9666. Along with the ASCS Frontier Region, Friday’s event includes WISSOTA Street Stock, WISSOTA Super Stock, and IMCA Sport Compacts.

Saturday, August 3 at Big Sky Speedway open at 5:30 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (MDT). Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for veterans and seniors (65+), and free for kids 60-inches tall or shorter. Big Sky Wingless Sprints, Wissota Midwest Modifieds, IMCA Modifieds, and Wissota Super Stocks are also on the lineup.

Saturday's event at Big Sky Speedway is also being run in support of Race For Life.

The 2024 season marks the 33rd season of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours encompassing Wing and Non-Wing competition.
